What Data The App Collects
Folday collects the data needed to provide account sync and journal/page features:
- email address for account creation and sign-in;
- pages, journal entries, text blocks, checklist/tracker content, and folders created by the user;
- media and files attached by the user, such as images, videos, audio, and documents;
- basic technical authentication/session metadata handled by Supabase.
Folday does not intentionally collect advertising identifiers, location, contacts, health data, or payment information.
How Data Is Collected
Data is collected when the user:
- creates or signs in to an account;
- writes, edits, uploads, or deletes content inside the app;
- grants camera, microphone, photo library, or file access and chooses media/files to attach.
Folday uses system permission prompts for camera, microphone, photo library, and file access. The user can change these permissions in iOS Settings.
How Data Is Used
Data is used to:
- create and authenticate the user's account;
- sync the user's pages, journal entries, media, and files across sessions/devices;
- store private user content;
- let the user delete their account and associated data.
Folday does not sell user data and does not use user data for third-party advertising.
Third-Party Services
Folday uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, private file storage, and account deletion infrastructure.
Supabase may process user data only as needed to provide these backend services. Folday requires backend providers that process user data to protect that data under terms and safeguards consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Data Sharing
User data is not shared with third parties for advertising or tracking.
Data may be processed by Supabase as the backend provider. Data may also be disclosed if required by law.
Data Retention And Deletion
User content is stored while the account exists.
The user can delete their account from the app. Account deletion is intended to remove:
- the Supabase Auth user;
- profile data;
- pages, folders, blocks, journal entries, and related records;
- media and files stored in the private page-media bucket.
Backups or logs maintained by backend providers may persist for a limited period according to the provider's infrastructure policies.
User Choices
The user can:
- sign out of the app;
- delete their account in the account screen;
- revoke camera, microphone, and photo permissions in iOS Settings, which stops Folday from accessing newly selected media or recordings through those permissions;
- request deletion or privacy support by contacting support;
- contact support at support@folday.app.
Children's Privacy
Folday is not intended for children under 13.
